“Was impressed with this product. I have large amounts of marestail over a new bank area, liberally interspersed with long grasses. After first spray, nothing visible happened for four days and we were just about to give up and do a respray, thinking we had got the quantities wrong, when suddenly overnight all the sprayed area turned black (at least the marestail did, the rest went rust coloured dead) - success. Too early to say whether it will spring up again, but looks hopeful as a good killer of this difficult weed.”

“After a bit of research to find something that claimed it could definitely eradicate Horsetail, which was rapidly spreading as a carpet over a spare piece of ground we have, I plumped for Kurtail Gold and ordered some. It arrived as promised and on the first dry day I used it on the affected area - about 40 square metres. Fortunately there were no cultivated plants in the affected ground that I had to work round or avoid and this made the application less tricky. I was absolutely delighted that within 24 hours the stalks of the Horsetail/ Marestail had turned a dirty brown colour and within 2 days all the plants had blackened up, shriveled and were definitely dying. Now I can see exactly which odd patches I missed and treat them as necessary. After battling with this invasion using glyphosate over the last couple of years and getting nowhere, I was delighted to see that Kurtail Gold does exactly what it says on the tin. Time will tell as to whether the area will need to be treated for a second dose but this stuff really seems to work.”

“As usual, a quick delivery from Progreen. Having tried various weedkillers to get rid of marestails I was highly delighted to find that Kurtail Gold works a treat. A client's vegetable garden was full of marestails I sprayed the area and after two weeks all the foliage was black and dead. I am pleased with the result and would recommend to anyone with same problem.”

“Not opened my second bottle yet. Getting to the end of the first. Don't want to run out. The Mare's tails were hoping that I would do. Doesn't shift 'em all 1st treatment but they keep on trying till they get fed up after a couple of years. They've NEVER come back in the same place twice; they get less and less but mine have a reinforcement regiment of reserves next door. Mares tails don't see fences! Squirt when dry and if possible, sunny. Not during a breeze or it'll land on stuff you want to keep. Dilute with rainwater not tap water. A slightly weaker solution will work and the bottle will last longer”
