Not cheap but worked very well and based on the dilution, it’ll last a long time.

I bought this, not for horsetail, but because it had been recommended for dealing with a very large patch of well-established, deep-rooted convolvulus on my allotment. The area was left fallow and I sprayed it with Kurtail early in August. One or two small pieces survived, but they may not have been sprayed adequately. A second spray soon cured that and I am very pleased with the large patch of bare earth which has now been rotavated. It certainly works with deep-rooted convolvulus.

Worth the money, been trying the get rid of this mears tail for two years with no luck. But after one’s application of this it’s two weeks later it was gone. My Advice is, if it’s for domestic use the smaller bottle will be fine .

I have struggled to control the rapid growth of mares tail, the first application of Kurtail killed most of it. I shall have to apply further applications as my first treatment has not killed the really bad areas. I sprayed the whole front garden in case of missing any of the heads, the second treatment then allows me to spot spray any further sprouting.

Give it a bit of time, say 2 weeks, and it gives good results.

As they say, it does what it says on the tin! I have used Kurtail for a number of years & it's good at controlling a mare's tail but will not eradicate it altogether. However, the problem I had with it prior to using Kurtail is nowhere near as severe now with minimal intervention at the start of the growing season.
