The animal transport by road (short journey) assessment allows those who have sat the training course (sold separately) to gain their level 2 qualification in Animal Transport by Road - Short Journey. This purchase provides you with the assessment only. Training must be purchased separately. The assessment consists of one core exam and then separate exams for birds, cattle, goats, horses, pigs and sheep. The core exam must be completed as well as the exams for the animals you wish to be able to transport in order to be issued the full certification. Internet access through PC, laptop or tablet, Google Chrome will be required and a plug in for the exam and a webcam Age Limit You must be a minimum of 16 years of age to do this course

“Ages before the exam link was given I was told there would be one week to do the test. No reason why. Long enough for me to forget, then came an innocuous email subject header. I opened it a day after one week expired, only to find I couldn’t do the test and the high cost was wasted. Unhelpful Progreen would not rebook. I would not do a test with progreen again. Waste of money and no customer service.”

Upon reviewing the situation, it appears that the issue you encountered is beyond our control. The online exams do have expiry dates, and these were communicated with you in two separate emails, one requesting your details to complete your exam registration and then the second email confirmed a day and time of when the exam would expire. During email communication with yourself on the matter, it was also confirmed that we had met Lantra’s expectations on setting these time frames as you had copied in their Head of Customer Service, to which agreed with our response to you. We did offer a discount to resit the exam, and this was a good will gesture as Lantra will be charging us a full registration fee again, due to the exam expiring before being attempted.
