“I found two problems with this product. 1/When using the router with the 1/4" collet, you have to use excessive force to tighten the collet against the cutter. 2/Setting the cutter depth is very inaccurate. Once you tighten the depth stop, it always moves away from the turret by about 1mm. I spoke to Trend about these issues and they told me they were hoping to introduce a dedicated 6.35mm collet and holder, but did not know when. On the second issue, I was told the movement was within spec. for this machine. I think that the depth gauge would benefit from a flat being ground where the fixing screw meets it or a different end on the fixing screw to eliminate the movement.”

“Great piece of kit for the price Still getting used to it but my first few use has been positive, good power, solid and very well made compared to my first router which was a PRO. Quality plunge stop etc. easy to setup and fairly straight forward setup out the box. I particularly like the guide and fine adjustment fence. Case is solid and protects the machine well. All in all for the use it going to get I’m very happy with it and would suggest for trade or the diy’er that’s looking for quality”

“Good piece of kit. Good control with the various settings. Very good value, 1/2" shank with the 1/4" reducer gives you the control you need. Jig guides included in the box.”
