This router is brilliant, nice to hold while in use and the extra bases you can buy really extend its usefulness. all in all really glad I bought it

I found this small router easy to use and ideal for small projects. As a carpenter I had a 2 hp Elu router so I found the Makita a joy to use and would recomend it

First impressions, the router is solid and has some weight to it, looks well made. Used for the first time over the weekend and had a slight issue with adjusting the height, when locking the base in place and it then moving! I have tightened the bolt on the sleeve so that it is tighter when clamped in place. Whether it is just one of those things to get used to, but my son also used the router and I think he may have applied more pressure and the hinge recess was then much to deep! Something I will need to keep an eye on! The soft start is great, no kick at all when starting it.

My woodworking projects are small in size. I made a table 300mm square with 4mm alloy top, fence, sled etc Whilst I'm sure this little router would be fine for larger projects for my jobs it's just fabulous. Soft start is a great feature
