Worst makita saw I have owned. Does a couple of square cuts then has to be realigned using the hex bolts on the carriage. Happens every time. Not good for carpentry or joinery. Spend a bit more and get the next model up.

Great saw a bit of a problem with delivery. DPD time slot 9am-5pm. Faulty chain guard/slide and cracked plastic blade guard. Had to package back up and send direct to Makita. As I’m away on holiday I had it delivered to my sons house, there was no correspondence from DPD about delivery, they just left it on the front lawn all day until my son came home from work.

Great tool, does exactly what you need and a lot quieter then my old saw. It's quite bulky but fine if you are just setting up on site and clearing away at the end of the day.

Perfect cuts straight out of the box. Really impressed. Would recommend using an extractor though. Really cuts down the dust. I used it without the extractor and the amount of dust made a right mess

I bought this as a much needed upgrade/replacement for an old Metabo saw. I'm very happy so far (it's still early days), I did need to adjust the cut but it was a useful way to get to know the saw better and it's bang on now, cuts smoothly and is light to move around considering its power. Yes, the laser can get a bit overpowered by sunlight etc but minor imo. Cable is too short as well but def value for money!
