The DUR181 string trimmer has been developed as a lightweight 260mm (10-1/4") Cordless grass trimmer, powered by a single Makita 18v lithium-ion battery. Featuring a well balanced tool design with angle adjustable cutting head for home gardening.
Sold as body only. Batteries & chargers are sold separately.
FEATURES

Well balanced tool design - The battery position is located under the main handle, exactly at the place that plays a role of pivot point when the tool is swung like a pendulum for grass cutting. The battery is therefore not swung around to minimize user’s fatigue
Easy to change spool assembly - Nylon cord can be fed from the spool by bumping the bump feed button against the ground
5 position adjustable pivoting head enables user to adjust cutting angle, allowing for trimming in tight spaces
Battery capacity warning lamp alerts the user when the battery is running low or empty
Adjustable loop-handle can be adjusted according to user's height and working posture
Spool assembly is easy to attach and remove, also easy to rewind. It comes equipped with a metal bump feed button for wear resistance

“The strimmer is easy to clip together, and uses the 3Ah battery from my drill, so it's very practical. The only thing I had to adjust was the height of the bracket in the shed as this site lower than my previous strimmer”

“A good strimmer for light garden work (edging, weeds, long grass etc) It's light, well balanced and very easy to handle the only down side is the spool is quite fiddly to release when you need to re-fill with new line. Also a couple of times the auto line bump feed hasn't worked resulting in the need to dismantle spool and manually feed line back through.”

“Bought to use at the allotment as I already have Makita batteries with other cordless tools. Typically good Makita quality but not a powerful tool - useful for keeping the grass and weeds at bay, but I doubt it would cope with anything more demanding.”
