The Makita DUN500 is made for those higher hedges when multi angle cutting is desired. It has long runtime on a single 18v LXT battery (sold separately). New triple-edged cutting teeth are designed to easily catch and firmly hold branches. Curved blades reduce friction resistance to suppress energy loss. Due to the low resistance run time is increased.
The Makita DUN500 Cutting head has 6 angle settings, plus it can be folded flat for easy transport and storage.
Supplied body only. Batteries and chargers are sold separately.

“A solidly built piece of kit which should last a long time. I like the fact that the cutting angle may be altered to suit the task. The three speed settings are also useful. The unit is provided with a shoulder strap which is a necessity to take the weight, especially on a long job. The position of the pivoting attachment point for the strap is adjustable to help balance the load. A safety interlock prevents accidental starting. The battery mount is surrounded by a metal shield.”

“Having used the DUN500WZ to trim the many large shrubs and bushes in our garden - including the world's largest privet - I'm very impressed. It cuts very efficiently, has excellent reach and is easily and effectively adjusted. It's a well-made, robust piece of kit and it looks built to last. My only word of caution is that it does require a degree of physical strength if using it for a protracted period. Delivery was swift, which is always a bonus when you live in the Outer Hebrides!”

“Great trimmer. Having no lead makes it easier to manoeuvre and I was pleasantly surprised at the battery length. It’s a little heavier than I imagined but the strap helps distribute weight easily. Overall very pleased.”
