The Makita DUN500 is made for those higher hedges when multi angle cutting is desired. It has long runtime on a single 18v LXT battery (sold separately). New triple-edged cutting teeth are designed to easily catch and firmly hold branches. Curved blades reduce friction resistance to suppress energy loss. Due to the low resistance run time is increased.
The Makita DUN500 Cutting head has 6 angle settings, plus it can be folded flat for easy transport and storage.
Supplied body only. Batteries and chargers are sold separately.

“Not as powerful as my Bosch electric but not far off. As others have mentioned it is a little bit on the heavy side. The pole comes in handy for getting to the top of my hedge, unit is quiet and the finished hedge is better than the old Bosch, plenty of power left in my 5.0ah battery. Overall I’m very pleased with the trimmer and other Makita battery operated products”

“Good bit of kit as you’d expect from Makita. Well balanced and easy to use. Goes through even fairly hefty stems with relative ease. Powers down within a few seconds of stopping but turning back on is a bit fiddly with gardening gloves on hence four stars not five. Would recommend though”

“Bought it as I have about a dozen batteries for other tools, and so far I must say I’m not disappointed! It’s light (even though heavy duty) And we’ll balance! Much more comfortable working off a ladder as it’s not idling like it’s petrol competitors! Because of this , a full 6ah battery lasts much longer than expected”
