This Makita DUN461 hedge trimmer features an angle-adjustable head that moves 60 degrees up and 75 degrees down from a horizontal position. There are 10 different angle settings and this can easily be adjusted at the push of a button. The shaft can be fully adjusted thanks to the telescopic pipe, and the lock level enables easy adjustment of the pole extension with no tools needed. For personal fit and comfort, the slide-type front grip position can be adjusted for the utmost in working efficiency regardless of the working posture adopted. Smooth and efficient trimming is possible thanks to the high cutting speed. Finally, this hedge trimmer produces little vibration or noise.

“Very long reach when extended, does feel a little under powered and there for definitely just for d.i.y, iv used the more expensive one and it's a lot more powerful. But this one is fine for what I need. Also the actual blade end does not fold all the way down to compact it and save space. Like the more expensive one. But over all very happy.”

“After extensive investigation i decided on the Makita Adjustable head/pole to cope with all my hedges some of which are 7ft tall. On receiving the trimmer I was very impressed with the packaging and the high quality of the build and light weight of the machine. This is not the time of year for trimming but I did give it a good test on the sides of one small low hedge and was very impressed with its operation and adjustability on both the pole and head. As many of my tools are Makita and have plenty of batteries I decided on purchasing the Trimmer body only so it is a good addition to my set. I look forward to later in the year to give it a proper test but at the present time I am very happy with my purchase and Powertool World's service and would highly recommend both.”

“As with all my Makita products it’s well made which adds to its weight. If you’re expecting the power of a petrol trimmer you will be disappointed. It may run slower, but takes on some tough shrubs and hedging in my garden with ease and the battery lasts ages. My only minor gripe is the operation button location, yes it works but could be improved on an upgrade design.”

“After checking all makes of Hedge Trimmers, I decided as I already had a Makita Drill and battery which was very reliable I would opt for this Hedge Trimmer. The price from Power Tool World was great. Delivery was fast Next Day. Used my drill battery and four large hedges were cut in an hour with great results. Battery still had some charge left. Easy to use just watch for any thick branches as 10mm is max as stated. 3 year warranty is excellent.”
