Better than I expected, has some real grunt, only used it with 3ah batts so far, managed to sort out some storm clear up felling and logging up to 14” almost did it all on one charge. I will defo get some 5ah batteries to get the best out of it.

Good kit. Understandably limited by battery life but just right for start/stop jobs. Only one niggle, the on/off switch automatically switches off a little too soon and is a little troublesome to engage with heavy gloves on.

Only used it a little but seems just the job for small trees and trimming branches

Bought this after looking at a lot of options. Cheaper 2 stroke saws, Stihl and all the other well known brands, battery v engine. Decided on this as having makita batteries means a longer workload and can swap easily between batteries. Also quick start, quick stop, no hassle cutting. I've cut sleepers small trees and goes through everything with ease. You need 2 batteries so worth getting a good charger, I have a double charger. Putting it together is fairly easy, no tools required and it comes with chain oil. I'll update if there are any problems, all good so far.
