Works a treat so far. Having enough batteries and a dual charger helps for extended use. But remember to put oil in bar tank before using it or you’ll wear your bar and chain. It is comparable to a 14” petrol and very much NOT a toy. A lot quieter but just as dangerous! Beware.

I bought this to assist with stripping an old roof and building a new hand cut roof. It was essential in stripping the old rafters, joists and tile batten. It is the cheapest way of cutting large sized roof timbers. I have eight batteries (due to having many different makita tools) so I have always got four fully charged batteries. If you only have two batteries you will probably get frustrated, Overall an excellent tool for my application. I can't comment on whether it would cope well with trees.
