I've used small petrol chain saws before, but there're always noisy and a hassle to get the engine running, particularly after they get a year or two old. The Makita DUC353Z is brilliant! It's much easier to use than the petrol equivalent and cut through 5"/125mm green tree trucks no problem. I already had 2 off 5AH batteries which lasted for over two hours of intermittent use.

Very good quality chain saw, more than capable for cutting domestic use logs and tidying tree branches responsibly. Charging system good, if used regularly, I would recommend a double battery charger and a spare set of batteries. Its not a DIY toy, but a proper powerful chain saw that needs responsible and safe use. Very happy with it, a typical good quality Makita cordless product.

Awesome, nice lightweight, obviously can’t be as heavily abused as a petrol saw but massively impressed so far!
