Ordered for hubby as he has to supply his own tools at work. He will only use Makita. Very happy with purchase. Good price and delivery.

It is probably not the strongest for professional work, but it's perfect for DIY. It drove 150mm hex screws into sleepers with no problem as well as achor bolts into pre-drilled concrete and stone.

I have had Makita tools for many years and they are always excellent. This is my first impact driver and I have been very impressed immediately. Superb value, brilliant purchase.

Not used one before I got this. It is so powerful you can put a screw in, in the blink of an eye. You need to be careful until you become skilled with it because you can easily screw into softwood and go straight through it. OK OK trades people, I'm an office worker doing some DIY.

Bought this impact driver as a DIY user currently building a timber framed garage. For years I have used a combi drill but it was not really up to the task and I took the plunge with the impact driver half way through. I have other tools on the Makita platform so decided to stick with the brand. I have been really impressed with the other Makita tools I have and was not disappointed by this either. As a DIY'er I went for the cheaper 152. As many others have said, I should have changed years ago. It is a lot quicker to use and drives screws and bolts home easier with less pressure required from the user. It does seem to drain the battery faster than the combi-drill (both brushless) but no major issue - it still does a good few hours' work. I have found that for the really delicate stuff it can be a bit too powerful but that is a minor point and I am mostly being lazy and not doing stuff by hand when I probably should. Overall, a really good buy and I would recommend to anyone. If most of what you do with your combi drill is putting in screws - get an impact driver.

Lovely Impact driver to compliment all my other Makita tools. being smaller bodied than my drill drivers it helps to get in to all the smaller spaces. Great power, really drives the screws home.
