Ordered the Makita DHR242Z "body only as I had plenty of Spare Batteries" & to be honest I was a bit worried it may not live up to expectations, but after reading reviews on line I thought I'd give it a go & was I impressed, not as heavy as I thought & comfortable in the had, up to now I've only used it to take roughcast off walls & cement off concrete blocks, used the Armeg G150B4SCH 150mm SDS + Scutch Comb Chisel purchased from Amazon & was very impressed how good the Makita DHR242z took it off

I've been using this to drill to its max capacity of 24mm in concrete blocks which it has peformed with ease. I would rate it highly as mid range occasional use masonry drill, I say occasional use as it sends a lot of vibrations back to the user in use. Lacks a few frills such as an LED light quick change chuck. If I were using it every day in a trade I would look for a drill with anti vibration but it would cost a lot more.
