Replaces BL1815 / BL1820 Makita BL1830B 18v LXT 3.0Ah Li-Ion Battery
The Makita 18v 3.0Ah Lithium-Ion battery contains high energy density technology. Being Lithium-Ion, the BL1830B has no memory effect and is much lighter than other battery chemistries. 22 minute re-charge in DC18RC charger as well as battery capacity indicator LED's which show you how much power you have left at the touch of a button. Fits all Makita 18v LXT Li-Ion tools with Makita 'Star' technology so if your tool also has a 'Star' you can be assured of battery protection.
The Li-ion range delivers 430% more working capacity during it's lifetime compared to Ni-Cad and is 40% Lighter than Ni-MH. The Li-ion has minimal depletion of power during use or in storage over it's lifetime. When new, these batteries require approx. 6 to 8 full charges to reach their optimum performance.
Replaces BL1815 and BL1820.

do not last that long when used with the orbital sander

HI, thank you for your feedback. We would agree that perhaps a larger capacity battery is more suited to your sander but don’t forget that the 3ah battery has a mere 22 minute recharge time, offering minimum downtime in between charges. This should help to alleviate some of the run time issues. Kindest regards, Ian@Powertoolworld.co.uk

There's not a lot you can say about a battery except maybe its reliability. I have two Makita drills and this is the first time I have replaced the battery in 13 years and believe me they get a lot of use and sometimes abuse from me as a plumber and builder. I trust Makita and there spare parts

Exactly as described. This is first class product. Not cheap by any means but you get what you pay for. If it lasts as long as the original it will be cost effective.

Good price and keep the current very well. I've managed to do quite few jobs with a full battery.
