DeWalt brought you the world’s first cordless first fix framing nailer and now they've improved it. Still coming with an efficient brushless motor but it now can run on DCB184 5.0Ah, DCB182 4.0Ah, or DCB183 2.0Ah battery packs (sold separately). The DCN692 benefits from longer runtime, quicker readiness to fire, less recoil and more durability when firing short nails. But what makes this first fix nailer so popular with is the fact it runs without gas.
Supplied body only. Batteries and chargers are sold separately.

Quite a good unit. Took a little getting used to as I haven't handle one for years. Always hold down firmly to the work otherwise the recoil can stop the nail proud of the work surface. Would recommend full head nails over clipped, as this nailer can handle both, thank goodness. Never been a huge Dewalt fan but am appreciating their tools can be good value and quality.

Avoid. Underpowered tool with excessive recoil, lack of power and constantly jamming nails. Very unreliable. Doesn't consistently drive 90mm nails flush. You certainly can't bury the heads. Little to no hope of firing at an angle. Magazine doesn't push 50mm nails up correctly when using bump fire meaning constant pauses to manually push the catch up. Tool repeatedly misfires causing nail head to bend in firing chamber and getting jammed between the top of the magazine and the firing pin. This requires an allen key to remove the magazine from the head to remove the nail. This is something you will become accustomed to. Despite finding multiple other users with similar issues. DeWalt wont acknowledge the issue and once out of warranty appear not to care. As you can imagine, I am more than disappointed with this tool and should have used my better judgement and bought a Paslode.
