I have the De Walt DCN692 framing gun so was able to buy this one as body-only which makes things much more affordable, the 16 gauge gun is so much lighter than the framing version, as you would expect, but the difference is huge! The DCN660 is very versatile and able to handle a good range of nail lengths, and has tool-free jam clearing, although, touch wood, I haven't needed to use it yet. Fast, light and easily adjustable, the battery lasts all day so no negatives so far.

I only used this particular nail gun briefly as I realised that it wasn’t the correct tool for the jobs I need to do. When I’d called Powertool World for some advice we seem to have selected the wrong machine - it turned out that I needed the DCN680 (not the 660) which will fire nails as short as 15mm. Both the 660 and the 680 are excellent - easy to use, powerful and they really improve my work rate even as a DIY-er. I’m a convert ! It’s a shame that the 680 doesn’t have an angled magazine as it really helps the 660 get into tight corners.
