“This is a beautiful lamp, which has gone into a guest bedroom, and has instantly given the room a warm and welcoming look. I wanted a lamp that did not look new - that looked as though it has a bit of history and a story to tell. This fitted the bill perfectly, and the gorgeous coil flex was simply the icing on the cake! Excellent value, but most importantly, it was a product I could not get anywhere else; it's a very special lamp.”

“I would echo other reviews on this lamp base - I'm very pleased with the way it looks. My bedroom is only about 12 foot square but extremely tall like a little gothic chapel, with high gothic windows and arched ceiling. The Otto lamp base either side of the bed is perfect as it is tall and narrow and draws the eye upwards, rather than short and squat which would look wrong in the space available. The colour of the wood chimes in well with the other features in the room. What I like best about Pooky is the range of choice without being over-powering: it seems there is a size, shape, colour and material of lamp / light to suit every requirement.”

“I make no apology for being a Pooky-holic and have their gorgeous lamps in every room in my house. I love the range and the way each lamp base and shade can be chosen to reflect a theme for each room. So, for my recently decorated back bedroom, which has a gentlemen's library kind of vibe, I wanted a bedside table that looked intelligent, slightly antique and not shiny and new. The Otto lamp in black fits the bill perfectly. It's beautifully made in wood with a soft distressed black wash which makes it feel bookish and antiquey. It's solid, statuesque and understated and sits nicely on top of a Victorian ebony display cabinet, inherited from a great aunt. Ordinarily I'd have team the base with a Pooky lamp shade but aforementioned great aunt left me an obsidian black shade which does the trick perfectly. As with all Pooky lamps the devil is in the detail - the retro cord wiring is a nice touch too. If you want a lamp for that spare corner by a bookcase, Otto is the bad boy to go for!”
