“This is a stunning lamp. I deliberated over the purchase for a while as I was spending money given to me as a gift and wanted to ensure I was purchasing something that would be timeless and will last for many years to come. The lamp is tall but weighty and unlikely to be knocked over easily. The colour is generally uniform (no patina as such), but there is a bronze type undertone which adds a hint of warmth and depth. I teamed it with the 30cm straight empire lampshade in red silk - which is shown as a combination in one of the photos - a great match.”

“A beautiful shiny lamp that’s very weighty. A terribly pleasing shape with a heavy looking base. The finish is plain black - there’s no bronzing.”

“Elegant, understated, even nicer than expected. The weight makes it feel very expensive and the black colour is not ‘too shiny nor too dull’ A perfect tall lamp for my Edwardian fireplace and very high ceiling.”

“A gorgeous sturdy lamp, which looks fabulous either side of our bed. The weight and height give it a really bold look and sets off the Taj stone samurai shade perfectly. Has the timeless appearance of something that will last for many years and always remain fashionable.”
