“I love the overall design of this lamp however it is very much let down by the poor quality of the finish. The trunk is made up of 3 sections (which was a surprise as I thought it would all be one piece) which have been badly joined together in such a way that the joins are very visible. Also the plastic switch feels quite flimsy. As I have my lamp in a corner it looks ok from a distance and I’m hoping that once I have a shade for it the eye will be drawn away bad joining.”

Hi Sally, Thank you for your feedback and I am sorry to hear you were unhappy with the base. Unfortunately the process of turning wood is very delicate and it would be incredibly difficult to be able to to turn one single piece of wood at this size. For this reason we do produce our lamps in pieces like this but we do everything we can to ensure the joins are as subtle as possible. That is of course harder when there is no other pattern on the lamp to hide joins as each grain is much more visible. For that reason this lamp does have a much more rustic look to it but I am sorry this was not to your liking. If you would like us to try and see if there is anything we can do to improve on this lamp then please do send us some images to hello@pooky.com and we can see if there is anything we can do?
