“The bulb is fine, it gives off a warm bright light. Perhaps a bit too bright for our bedroom reading lamps. Also beware that if you are buying 20cm empire shades the standard bulb is too tall and pokes out the top of the shade. I returned the bulb for a 4watt golf ball bulb which fits my empire shades and is still plenty bright enough to read by.”
