It will just fit flat in a full size detailing bucket, so you are able to rub the head on the grit guard to clean. cleaned the car in about half the time without getting my hands wet, which was the original reason of purchase, current temperatures being around freezing. It might not be for everybody but would really suit VW camper owners et.al.”
“The component parts of this product are pretty solid and well built.
However, the connection between the pole and the head is a simple pressure grab made of plastic. In use I found this to be the products fatal flaw: no matter how tightly I screwed on the retaining ring the head just keeps falling off. A screw connection might have been a better idea.”

Stainless steel pole feels like it's been treated in some way, as it feels super smooth and slick.
One feature I hadn't noticed mentioned is the fact that the mitt side can fit perfectly in a common detailing bucket even when sideways, so you can still scrub the full surface of the pad against a grit guard.
