“I have tried multiple rain repellent coatings, starting with Rain-X and moving to G-Techniq but will be sticking with Gyeon for the foreseeable future. While G-Techniq G1 is great for longevity, it needs ideal conditions for application [if outdoors] and 24hrs of dry weather curing. I was able to maintain the water repellency of my windscreen with G-Techniq G5, but it did not have the ease of application as Gyeon Q² Quick View. The Gyeon product is probably the easiest to apply, of all that I have tried, with the built-in applicator pad, and residue removal with a damp microfibre taking seconds. Water beading is excellent and allows wipers to be turned off at motorway speeds in rain, something to which I have become accustomed, and stops smeary, rain-soaked windscreens when stationary even after 5-6 months of application.”
