“My son initially felt the tutor may not have previously held the online sessions as she did not know how to immediately access the resources remotely. This got better as the lesson went on. My son also felt they did not go through as much of the work book as he would have hoped for them to and a lot was left untouched in the workbook. He commented feeling alot more ready for the exams after attending the Biology session in comparison to the chemistry session.”
Hi Adebukola, Thanks for taking the time to provide feedback on our chemistry course. We watched the recording of the course and the tutor had the resources already up at the beginning of the course ready to start. Perhaps there was another section of the course where this wasn’t the case. We provide training so all our tutors feel prepared running their first online course, but we will review this to ensure everything is as clear as possible.
Regarding the use of the workbook, our course materials are designed to be used both during the course and by students after the course for independent revision. On previous courses students requested more resources to use once the course has finished and we used this feedback to add more detail and exercises for students to complete. Our tutors use the workbook alongside their own teaching resources and we also send students a question booklet of past paper questions. There isn’t enough time on the course to go through all the resources. Moreover, it would be incredibly boring to sit and go through the workbook for two days.
