“Despite paying the extra £2 fee for pre 12.00 delivery ( which I did receive pre 12.00 ), the Lamb Saddle Fillet had almost totally defrosted, what to do ?. I had only one choice, I couldn’t re freeze it until the date required, I had to take it on holiday with me !. After some head scratching and a quick rummage in the cupboards flatbreads, coconut Sirracha sauce, and wood fired peppers were found, and the idea of “Posh Kebabs”. Not quite the dining experience, or location I had envisioned, didn’t want to be tied to the kitchen on holiday, but worked out really well. Pan fried 3/4 of the fillet until on the rare side of medium rare in our holiday kitchen, and finished it over the fire pit, hoping for a hint of “smoke”. Warmed up the flatbreads, made a mint and Greek yogurt sauce , a lime, garlic and Greek yogurt sauce. Sliced the fillet and wood fired peppers, scattered both, and some watercress and mixed leaves over the warmed flatbreads, served them round the fire pit, everyone doing their own thing with the sauces. Definitely a new favourite with all involved, and will definitely be on the menu again. A lovely melt in the mouth, full of flavour cut of meat, and definitely tastier than any questionable offering from any kebab house. Moral of the story, make sure you order enough meat to fill the box, so it remains frozen”
