“we had a wonderful time in the devonshire arms hotel, along with gerladine our pup, the staff were very accomodating and friendly, and the food and service was amazing. The whole landsacape and adjoining river wharf is where we spent all three days enjoying the walks along the river and will be back thats for sure. michale matthews,johann Matthews and geraldine.”

“Devonshire Arms is a beautiful hotel and a must for any dog owners. This isn't just a hotel that a dog can stay in, the dog is made to feel every bit as welcome as the humans. She got her very own doggy welcome letter, and treats, ball, and towel. The area is gorgeous, and our 13 year old pug had the time of her life on a 5 mile welly walk. Very spacious, with lots of lounge areas to relax in. Immaculate service from everyone we spoke to in the hotel, breakfast, housekeeping, dinner and spa area. In particular the brown haired glasses lady on breakfast, Sophie and the Irish gentleman at dinner, and all the spa staff made us feel very comfortable. Nothing was too much trouble for anyone. The grounds were beautiful and very well maintained. Can't wait to visit again.”

“My wife and I took our cockapoo (Ted) to stay at the Devonshire Arms to celebrate our Ruby Wedding. It was magnificent. The staff went out of their way to ensure that we had a special time, and made us feel welcome and special. The stunnung Hotel is in a beautiful part of the country, and the food and drink available was excellent - both for the humans and for Ted. He was also made to feel very much at home, with a welcome pack and a sausage for breakfast. If you want a warm and friendly welcome in a superb hotel - this is for you.”

“We had a great short break at the Devonshire Arms. Really dog friendly and we were able to relax with the dogs in the lounge and brasserie. Great walking around Bolton Abbey and Strid Woods, and an outdoor warm water bath and shower for the muddy our muddy hounds. Also has car EV charging which was very handy. A great place to stay.”

“Fantastic for the dogs. A couple of issues that let the venue down, one being the additional 5% service charge on top of the total bill, I have no problem paying a service charge, however, on top of the full payment, I do not feel is right. On 2 occasions I had issues with my meals, one diner was sent back as this was cold, and by the time I got my meal, my husband had eaten his. One of my breakfasts was cold and again this was sent back. The waiting staff were amazing.”

“An ideal way to spend a few days celebrating a special birthday - me, my husband and our dog. The room, the facilities, the spa, the meals, the surroundings (including Bolton Abbey Estate), the staff (and their real dog-friendliness) and the lovely January weather, added up to a really memorable birthday.”
