Excellent dog-friendly hotel, with good food and lovely staff! Nice area to take the dog for some lovely walks or a field attached to the hotel for the dog to have a runaround. The rooms were nice and roomy so plenty of room for our dog to move around also.

Would you like to add any more feedback about your stay? There was a little bit of an issue getting our 2 evening meal deal, but it soon got sorted, it was mainly because of the way it was put on their system and we were the first guests apparently that had booked through Pets Pajamas
The staff are very friendly and efficient, and the food was very good. We had a 5 night stay and had two evening meals and breakfast which was a buffet, but had everything for a full English breakfast alongside the usual cereals, fruits, continental etc. The eggs served at the buffet were scrambled but other choices were available on request. Our room was a basic one off the courtyard on the ground floor, which meant a short walk outside to the main hotel, but it was undercover, but handy for the dog to go for a quick morning and late evening toilet break. The room, although classed as basic was more than adequate, both the room and the bathroom were very roomy. Only downside was the wardrobe space, it was more like a single, but manageable for short stays, shame, as plenty of room for a bigger wardrobe. There are no little extras for your pet ie treats, beds to lay on in the bar, bowls or beds provided, but they do make a fuss of your pet and she did get sausages for breakfast and she got a lot of attention.

Would you like to add any more feedback about your stay? ONLY THAT AWFUL BED
Booking in was easy and pleasant. We ate in the bar (dogs can accompany you) where the staff were pleasant and helpful. The food: baked salmon followed by Ice cream were very nice and the salmon in particular was very well cooked although the soup (Broccoli and Stilton) was too salty for my taste and a little thin in texture so I would not recommend it. The room was of a good size but the bed was the second worst that I have slept in in over 45 years of sleeping in hotel beds (I believe that the mattress was worn out) which was very disappointing! I did not mention this to the staff as I thought that I would raise the issue here. I will probably stay at this hotel again before Christmas but certainly not in room 207!
