“Characterful inn, in a pretty and quiet location. Very Pleasant and helpful staff. Very good menu and our dinner was excellent. Our room was beautifully decorated, with a four poster bed and looked luxurious. But it was very small, and as we had a dog, and dog bed, there was nowhere to put it where we wouldn't fall over it. The bed was standard double, probably 4'6". Obviously limited by the four poster frame, but that is small by today's standards. The hotel also offers 'snug' rooms and I dread to think how small they must be.”

“We had a cracking weekend with Finn at The Acorn Inn. Staff were great, food was excellent. Took Finn for a lovely walk through the Deer Park. Would highly recommend staying here.”

“I cannot speak more highly of the welcome at the Acorn Inn. The food is excellent and the chef and staff went above and beyond in making sure I had a good choice of meals even though I had dietary needs. The only downside was the very small space around the toilet in our room, even my husband had difficulty and he is very slim! It was our dogs birthday on the morning we left and they brought him a chopped up sausage which he loved!”

“Excellent food and service. Room quite small and the bathroom a tight squeeze but that’s understandable in an old property.”

“We had a 2 night stay with our 2 Havanese dogs. We were all made to feel very welcome. There were even dog treats in the room for our little ones. We stayed in a lovely 4 poster bedroom. The food was delicious and the service superb. The Inn is super dog friendly and if travelling with your dogs, I would definitely recommend a stop overnight here.”

“Every member of staff was kind, considerate and so helpful. We have a 12year old Staffie who struggled with the stairs but thanks to caring staff we managed both up and down. Breakfast was delicious and service really made us feel looked after- nothing was too much trouble.”
