Would you like to add any more feedback about your stay? Lovely pub, the only criticism would be the cost of the meals, definitely London prices.

“Stayed one night, as we had a meeting at a local business, the staff are very helpful and friendly. Our two rooms were clean and comfortable. We had a pleasant evening meal in the restaurant, though my son felt the portions were on the small side. Breakfast was good and a sausage was provided for our dog.”

“My husband and I booked a last minute stay with our Boxer dog last weekend. The hotel was very well presented, clean and warm, with a welcome mat, treats and dog bowl waiting for our dog in the room. All the staff were extremely freindly and helpfull and clearly all dog lovers! The hotel restaurant served a good range of excellent food and wines, breakfast was to the same standard, with an extra sausage provided for our dog. We would definately recommend the hotel, and Pets Pjamas who we booked through.”

Would you like to add any more feedback about your stay? I would not recommend the Acorn in the summer months if you have a dog!

“We were fortunate enough to stay at the Acorn during the recent hot spell. However the Acorn were not prepared for us to stay during this weather with a dog. We were allocated Avery small room with a small window that only opened a couple of inches. The sun had shone into the room all day and it was sweltering hot. Only a small fan was provided. We were very uncomfortable due to the heat and we weren’t wearing fur coats. I’m sure this is not the first time this has happened. Perhaps the purchase of a small portable air conditioning unit may help. Additionally our room was serviced whilst we were at breakfast even though we had not checked out. Very disappointing stay.”

Would you like to add any more feedback about your stay? My dog was well looked after and she felt comfortable and settled due to the soft and quite ambiance throughout.

“This is a beautiful hidden gem in the heart of Dorset. The staff couldn't do enough for us plus the food and service were 100%. If we are ever in this area would not hesitate to stay here again.”

Would you like to add any more feedback about your stay? Pets Pyjamas should not have recommended this accommodation for us knowing how small the bedrooms are.

“Lovely staff and delicious food but accommodation was completely unsuitable for us and our 2 dogs who we had informed you were a large and a medium size. The bedroom was tiny and the window wouldn’t open more than an inch. Thank goodness for the beer garden and nearby walks to which we could escape.”
