“I had a perfect weekend spa break with my two dogs. The hotel is beautiful and immaculately clean. The food was delicious, my spa treatment was heavenly and the staff were warm and welcoming. Nothing was too much trouble. I cannot recommend enough!”

“Upon arrival, myself, my husband and our cocker spaniel Muddle were warmly welcomed. The facilities were clearly explained to us- where Muddle could/couldn’t go and dogsitting was even offered so that we could use the spa! Further thoughtfulness was to be found in our room - a dog bed, dog towel, two bowls and complimentary poo bags,(directions for nearest poo bins helpfully included too!) Our evening meal and breakfast were delicious, consisting of high quality ingredients and a plentiful choice- served by lovely staff, who were both friendly and professional. I highly recommend the Spread Eagle for their genuine dog ,(& human!) friendliness - nothing was too much trouble and we were looked after beautifully. (My only small niggle was that a gratuity was automatically added to our bill - the staff thoroughly deserved it, and I would have tipped anyway, but I simply like the choice to be mine as an expression of my appreciation.) As an added bonus the town of Midhurst, though small, has some lovely shops and is super dog friendly- Muddle was welcomed everywhere and made a fuss of!”

“Had a lovely long weekend at the Spread Eagle with my daughter and doggie. Room was in an annexe, a bit small but perfectly well appointed. Staff were very welcoming and helpful. Good was excellent too. Would definitely recommend. Only word of caution there were steep stairs leading to our room so would not suit anyone with mobility issues.”

Would you like to add any more feedback about your stay? Really hard to find places that accept 2 dogs so this was a great recommendation from pets pyjamas.

“This place was fantastically accommodating to all of us & clean. Staff in all areas were friendly & efficient. The location is great as there are a lot of local shops & walking plus short car journeys near to beaches . Absolutely loved it & hope to return soon.”

“A lovely stay at the Spread Eagle where the staff are so friendly and welcoming. Only their second day back open after lockdown when we arrived but there was no sign that they had been closed for 5 months. Good food, a cosy bar and a trip to the spa made our break complete.”

“Lovely hotel just as I imagined but Very expensive for 3 nights Not so dog friendly as we read in reviews Staff were excellent No bins anywhere in the grounds to deposit. Dog poos or dog food that needed to be disposed of I m not sure that customers who didn’t have dogs were aware that dogs were included Evening food was ok but not special”
