The hotel staff were extremely welcoming both to us and our 2 dogs, with beds, towels, bowls and treats provided in the room. The dogs were allowed in most rooms except the restaurant which is completely understandable. The hotel is situated just on the edge of Midhurst, a beautiful little country town and there is immediate access to lots of lovely walks directly from the hotel. I would definitely reccommend it as a place to stay if you have dogs with you. Only negative feed back is the quality of the food, which was acceptable but not outstanding and many of the waiting staff whilst very accomodating seemed untrained and in our opinion the hotel appeared to be a bit understaffed.

Would you like to add any more feedback about your stay? Room only would have been better value
Staff were welcoming and Friendly could not do enough for you . Room was a little shabby eg stained carpets and had strong smell of disinfectant. This was maybe due to being a dog friendly room. Booked dinner and breakfast. Breakfast was good . Dinner was extremely poor gave feedback that food was far to salty. Unfortunately had to book and pay for a different restaurant the second night as could not eat from the menu again

Everything about the Spread Eagle is wonderful but what really makes the place is the staff who were exceptionally friendly and helpful. A special shout out to Robin who went above and beyond at all times and made us feel welcome and spoilt. Food, service, suite etc all first class. Very Christmassy and bang in the middle of Midhurst so the Christmas market and all the shops are on your doorstep. Lovely spa.

We went to the Spread Eagle Hotel for my husbands birthday weekend. The staff were fantastic. I canā€™t praise them enough. Food was very good and rooms were clean and comfortable. They are very dog friendly and our pooch had a great weekend. The rooms do not have air conditioning though. It wasnā€™t a problem for us the weekend we were there, but could possibly be uncomfortable in very hot weather.

From the beginning to the end, the hotel could not have been more welcoming of my two large dogs. The rooms had dog beds, and dog towels ( essential after long muddy walks ). They were also most welcome in the bar and conservatory for my meals. The food was excellent and the service was impeccable. They also gave me some walking maps which were super helpful and clear. Highly recommended and we will return.

Really friendly staff, we were well looked-after at all times. The dinner menu was encouragingly short but covered all bases, and the food was excellent. Breakfast was modest but delicious, and the morning portion control was actually a good thing after such a thorough feeding the night before.

Would you like to add any more feedback about your stay? Whilst this was lovely for a special occasion, unfortunately the price is a bit too high to consider for a casual overnight stay or a longer stay. Or maybe this was because my partners birthday clashes with valentines?!
We stayed at the Spread Eagle Hotel to celebrate my partners 60th birthday. We were made to feel very welcome and the dog was made a big fuss of! The room was lovely (we stayed in a Midhurst room) very spacious with a sofa and a lovely big bathroom. Bowls and a tub of treats were thoughtfully provided for our dog. We had dinner included and had this in the bar area as we didnā€™t want to leave our dog in the room. It was lovely - really warm and cosy, with a real fire going and just so much character in the old building. I am vegan and the vegan menu had a few options, all looked good and the ones I chose were very tasty. We used the spa which was very clean, and enjoyed dog walks to explore the local area which is full of history. Breakfast was in the conservatory, again very good and a vegan option offered
