“The great service from Wild Thyme and Honey started soon after we booked our last minute 2 night stay. An email asked about our dog, Chester,whether we needed a kettle and type of teabags we would like and whether we would like to eat in the restaurant on our first night. On arrival we were offered a mocktail in reception but we waited until we got to our room in order to taste the sloe gin which is provided in each room, delicious! Our room was on the ground floor and the cheapest available but plenty big enough for 2 adults and a medium sized dog. Chester had a bed and blanket waiting for him along with food bowl and gift box containing biscuit bones and dog shampoo. There is a field just across the brook at the back of the hotel where dogs can have a run and there are 2 poo bag bins near the exits. Dogs can accompany their owners to breakfast, before dinner drinks and dinner in the restaurant. This is definitely a dog friendly The room is rustically decorated with untreated wood on some walls and in en suite but very comfortable. The toiletries smelled lovely and there was even a pillow spray. There is an honesty larder where you can get extra milk(milk is left outside the door every morning) coffee pods, teabags etc. Breakfast is delicious with plenty of choice. We ate in the Restaurant both nights and couldn't fault the food or service. We will definitely return, in fact we are thinking about the Christmas package already.”
