We stayed at the Polurrian on the Lizard, booked via Pets Pajamas and it was truly a perfect experience from start to finish. The setting of the hotel, with views to die for, puts you immediately at rest but the hotel is much more than the view. There was so much for the children to do in the hotel as well as in the surrounding area. The hotel rooms were newly decorated and immaculate, and of course our dog was made to feel so welcome and looked after! I would never have thought to book a hotel on the Lizard before Pets Pajamas suggested it. And I am so glad we went! Thank you.

Apart from the weather, very windy, our stay was very nice, with great service by all staff, food was excellent. Excellent location to explore the local area. Dogs enjoyed their stay

Would you like to add any more feedback about your stay? Swimming pool seating needs a coat of paint and access for someone with a disability is difficult but I was advised there were steps. Lucky my husband is good at pushing me up stairs.
The reception and waiting staff were marvellous, working very hard under pressure. However we felt they were not fully appraised of what our package included. First error was giving us a double room with bath and steps to bathroom when we had booked an accessible room with wet room, due to my being disabled. This was quickly rectified and replaced with an accessible room, walk in shower with a nice view, but not a good start.. Second problem was evening meal on 24th. Was given a menu to choose starter, main course and choice of dessert on another sheet. We were expecting a glass of mulled wine, but none offered and told drinks were extra. The wait between courses was unacceptable taking so long I had to ask when we were going to get our main course and same for dessert. It's say the steak was very good. Now never any mention that we had an allowance of £30 each for our meal until check out when we were advised there was £46 extra to pay on top of the £930 we paid for the package. I refused to pay. Thirdly, I have never in my 70 years been served a breakfast with half a mushroom and half a tomatoe. Our Xmas dinner was not bad but my husband said his fish tasted like it had been boiled in water and he didn't like it at all. My vegetables were overcooked and only one slice of turkey. I cook for myself much better than that. We asked for wine with our meal and we're told no wine is included. I told the waitress it quite clearly said on our brochure and booking form that it was. We were given a bottle of wine the waitress saying that she had obtained permission to give us the wine. I sent my husband to our room to get the hotels brochure and read it out to the waitress that wine is included with dinner. It is not good when the staff are not aware of what is included. So day three evening meal given two menus. A package menu plus the normal menu told if we want to eat anything from normal menu it would be extra. Though what we had was very nice I had just one slice of potatoe with my chicken supreme! I think portions could be bigger. Nouvelle cuisine seems to us to be an excuse to serve tiny amounts of food for expensive prices. We did get a glass of wine complimentary on Boxing Day as I complained we did not get our mulled wine. We enjoyed the area, the room was lovely. Our dog was welcome in the breakfast room. So I apologise if we have upset anyone but you asked for a review.

Would you like to add any more feedback about your stay? The only complaint I have was . We had to put a credit card on for any extras and were not advised that we could pay for our drinks as we had them , when we received our bill it was double what we had calculated . We had some added on for food which we we

Would you like to add any more feedback about your stay? We loved the hotel, & there are two great pubs nearby if you fancy a change, both dog friendly.
We loved this hotel, overlooking the fabulous cliffs & beach just a few hundred yards from the hotel. The room was lovely, Dex our spaniel had a box of goodies left for him in the room! Dogs have access to all parts of the hotel bar the main restaurant, but to be fair, the conservatory off the bar was far better in any case, with many non dog owners opting to have their meals here in any case, with panoramic views of the sea, who wouldn’t! We will book again without doubt!

Nice location right on the cliff top overlooking the sea. Plenty of garden area and places to sit inside and outside with the dog. Our room was on the top floor (2 flights of stairs) no lift, had to carry the dog as he's fairly blind, lots of other dogs seemed to be on that floor too. Staff were all pleasant and friendly, food was nice however quite expensive with limited choice, especially for vegetarians. Pool was clean, well maintained and you needed to book a time slot so it was never too busy. No extra amenities etc for the dogs though.

My boyfriend and I recently spent five days at the Polurrian with our dog, Poppy. We thoroughly enjoyed our trip and plan to return in the near future. Our accommodation was clean and well-maintained, and we were greeted with blankets, bowls, and treats for Poppy, which was a delightful surprise. The entire staff was extremely friendly and accommodating to us and Poppy. The beautiful walks surrounding the Polurrian impressed us, and the sea view from our room and restaurant was spectacular. They provided a fantastic breakfast and dinner menu that suited our vegan and vegetarian diets. We would highly recommend the Polurrian to anyone wanting to travel with their dog.

Would you like to add any more feedback about your stay? Don’t be put off by some of the rooms wear and tear. It is and old but lovely hotel.
The location is just stunning. The restaurant food is fantastic. The breakfast is everything you could want. The grounds are lovely. And above all, super dog accommodating.
