“Really welcoming place. We stayed in a cottage which was ideal for us. No dog bits provided, which surprised me for such a dog friendly place, ie no dog bowls or anything like that. But grounds and staff were very welcoming to our dog.”

Would you like to add any more feedback about your stay? We were slightly surprised that making up the beds in the morning didn’t come as standard, for the price I would’ve expected this service.

“From the moment we arrived at the b&b, which is more like a mansion house, we were wonderfully surprised. Not only by its grandeur and by the beautiful grounds, but the fabulous welcome, attentive staff, delicious food, and superb comfortable beds. The grand lounge with a piano tipped this property in its favour for all future stays in West Sussex - we will be back! It goes without saying that our Labrador immediately felt right at home. We were so touched when he was in pain how the owner went out of her way to help get some painkillers for his back. Really over and beyond any expectations one could have. But then again- as dog lovers we would all do anything for our furry friends- right!!!”

“From the moment we drove up the drive to Lordington Park, it's been a wonderful 2-day stay. A beautiful house and grounds with attentive staff, albeit this is not a full-service hotel. Afternoon tea on the terrace overlooking the croquet lawn was a plus. Very Downton. Rates are reasonable, and we'll be back!”

Would you like to add any more feedback about your stay? I don’t think dogs were allowed on the chairs (see photos)! Luckily the weather was dry.

“We were lucky enough to find this fantastic b&b pet friendly hotel via pet pyjamas. The room was luxurious with every detail considered for convenience. We chose room 12 which had a bath and walk in shower. The views were stunning, the staff friendly, the hotel immaculate, the food perfect and the dog was very happy. We have no hesitation in recommending this hotel to other dog owners.”

“We stayed two nights in one of the self catering cottages at Lordington Park. The house and cottages are set in a beautiful setting in the countryside. The cottage was really well equipped, clean and had stunning views from the private patio across the lawns and rolling hills beyond. We even had a little welcome pack which was much appreciated! Nothing was too much trouble, they were able to provide a dog bed (husband forgot to pack) and made a big fuss of our furry boy. There’s an enclosed paddock for dogs to run around in off lead and plenty more land to explore with your dog as well. Dogs are welcome in the dining area where they provide a really delicious breakfast with lots of choice. They also do afternoon tea in the house from Tuesday to Friday. It’s in a great location, lots to explore in the countryside but also just a short drive to the coast. We loved our stay and hope to go back soon”

“We had a wonderful one night stay at Lordington Park with our little four-legged "boy" Alfie. We were made to feel very welcome from the start - all three of us! It was lovely to not have to worry about taking Alfie's dog bed and bowl as they had been supplied for us, along with some tasty treats that Alfie sniffed out immediately! The hotel was immaculately kept, though comfortable enough to allow our dog to wander around too. Would highly recommend.”

“Really lovely place to stay, staff were all friendly and welcoming to myself and my dogs. Dog bed in the room, biscuits and a bowl for them. The room was spacious and well appointed. The bed was comfortable and we enjoyed lovely full english breakfasts. The paddock for the dogs to run free in was a great touch and we enjoyed some lovely walks over the weekend.”
