“Stayed here as dog friendly and on booking found they did oncology spa treatments too - amazing! We could go everywhere with our dog apart from the main restaurant but that was fine as we could sit in the adult only restaurant with our dog - they really thought of everything for our stay, the staff were friendly and helpful. We used the spa and was able to sit outside with our dog. Very pretty surroundings and 2 pools is great - there isn't anything not to like! Definitely visit again.”

“We stayed here in July for a birthday weekend. The hotel is lovely, with great facilities and our deluxe room was lovely. We enjoyed the indoor pool and hydrotherapy pools, but unfortunately the weather was not good enough to use the outdoor pool. Breakfast was great with a good choice of cold items and an extensive hot breakfast menu. Dinner was fantastic, great food and lovely presentation. We were worried about eating in the same place for 3 nights, but that was not a problem with plenty to choose from on the menu. Our overall lasting impression is the staff. They are all really friendly and helpful, from suggesting walks with the dog, to serving food outside of the stipulated times. Nothing was too much trouble. Oh and really dog friendly, your dog gets their own bed and bowls, and a goody bag on arrival. We will definitely be going back”

“We had THE BEST time. We’ve two dogs and have always been hesitant staying in hotels. Booking through pets pyjamas put us at ease. This hotel was definitely dog loving, not just dog accepting. It was lovely to feel comfortable and for the dogs to be so welcome. The hotel it’self was great, with incredible service and food. Location was spot on too with plenty to do direct from hotel”

“The staff here are some the best I have ever come across - genuinely friendly and helpful. The spa facilities are excellent and rooms are very clean and of a good size. It is 10 mins walk from the forest. It's worth noting that evening meal choices although of good quality are very limited.”

“The hotel went out of its way to deliver an exceptional all round experience for us, our toddler and our dog. Grounds and walks are beautiful, on site facilities were great and we made full use of them”

“We really enjoyed the very friendly welcome from the staff. The spar was great . The bedroom was rather tired and needs an upgrade. We loved all the food and the the afternoon teas were fabulous.”

Would you like to add any more feedback about your stay? Tighter management of local guests would improve the value.

“Great hotel, with comfortable room and dog friendly staff. Plumbing was not good, hence only four stars. Also very crowded on Sunday with locals bringing their children, filling the guest lounge, bringing their own food, and very noisy. Suddenly £300 a night felt rather expensive! The food was excellent, and when not filled with kids, the lounge was very pleasant. We would go again, but not at the weekend. The staff were excrllent.”
