“Cannot fault it for doggie friendliness. Everything and more was provided, dog bed, bowl, treats, bandana and a toy which she loved. Everyone made such a fuss of her and were so helpful. The grounds are amazing and she had lots of room to run off lead.”

“I would not recommend this hotel, it is in a very bad state of disrepair and Needs a lot of work doing on it, our arrival was not a welcome one, we arrived at 2.30 no check in till 3 o'clock we needed the toilet and a drink, we were told to sit in our car in the car park till 3 o'clock in the pouring rain, we waited 10 mins and went back in asked someone else for the toilet and drinks we were told where they were and please go through? The room is small it's battered and not large enough for 2 people and 2 dogs, the curtains were dirty, the shower was battered,the doors were battered,the door to the outside was hanging off the hinges and a patch up job had been attempted, the noise levels are bad, constant banging from no idea where, people running up and down the corridor shouting they were drunk, the dogs did not settle and we're on high alert all the time due to the noise, kept barking in distress, the dog bed was battered and smelled my dogs refused to use it, we should have had 2 bowls for the dogs got one and one bed, there was no fridge as requested and relayed by pets pyjamas to the hotel who denied they received anything, eventually after much explaining it was required for the fresh dog food it arrived, the dog restaurant as we were not allowed anywhere else was awful and very very expensive we didn't eat there again, the check out was a nightmare tried to charge us money that we had all ready paid to pets pyjamas saying we owed it, the bill was confusing since we only ate there once no idea why, eventually sorted it out, we left a day early couldnt stay there any longer, very sad, and will not go again.”

“I would highly recommend staying at this hotel. The grounds were stunning, staff were friendly and it was just overall beautiful. The room was spacious and comfy and our little dog milo just loved everything about this trip too. I will definitely visit again.”

“Fantastic place. Building is beautiful and the grounds lovely. 2 local pubs close by. Food at the hotel was really nice. Room was lovely. Taking our dog Charlie was great on one hand and the hotel catered for him so well, but meant we could not use the leisure facilities, unless we went one at a time, while the other stayed with the dog. However, we completely understand why dogs can not be left unattended in hotel rooms.”

“Friendly staff . Went extra mile lovely grounds to walk your dog One thing when having a bath couldn’t reach the body wash as was at level with shower and locked in Was on ground floor windows was misted glass missed opening doors onto terrace”

“Fantastic hotel, great rooms, friendly staff that love dogs. On arrival to our room pets bed and bowls and dogs treats waiting. No doggie smell either.”

“Initially the arrival to the hotel is great. Stunning building and beautiful grounds. Many of the areas internally also very well presented and laid out with lots of antiquities and areas to enjoy. The facilities and the food was less up to expectations and in some parts of the hotel the attention to detail could be better.”

Would you like to add any more feedback about your stay? I had the most wonderful stay with my sister and my son/dog last week! We stayed in the Ivy Room, it was huge and had lovely views over the front of the building. The staff were so friendly (especially to Luigi) my border terrier. We ate in the very comfortable bar with a few other dogs & their parents. The food was really good. It's incredible how big the grounds are, you step outside and theres so much space for dogs to run. Luigi had the best time, and he didn't have to stay on the lead - Freedom! The staff gave us a walking map and we went on so many walks. They also recommended visiting Shere Village, a very pretty town a short drive away. The area is full of delicious dog-friendly pubs too - The Abinger Hatch was our favourite one! Highly recommend this hotel and a visit to this beautiful area!
