“Lovely pub, lovely staff……. BUT……. So many little things wrong. Maybe because we’re old, couldn’t work the telephone; TV, promptly fixed the first time, reverted to same problem next morning; beautiful spacious shower, water not much more than a trickle. Offered as a “Twixmas” package but little sign of twixmas celebration, the specially booked family meal very disappointing. We left a day early partly because of worry about the locked door overnight. Our elderly dog woke us clearly needing to go out. My husband dressed and took her downstairs and used the reception phone to ask to be let out. He had tried the door but it was clearly locked. No one came . We had to resort to newspaper in the en-suite, which she wouldn’t use but was desperate by 7.30. We reported this next morning and were told the door handle should have let him out and that a door wedge was available to ensure he could get back in. WHY wasn’t there a note about this in a dog friendly upstairs room? So not the best experience!”

“We stayed for 1 night at the beautiful The Bell Inn. Great location, attentive and caring staff. We stayed for dinner in the evening and Chip had a bowl of mixed veg and meats, and was very happy.”

“We spent a wonderful few days at the Bell Inn, New Forest over the New Year. It was the perfect location, a quiet village called Brook close to Lyndhurst. The hotel is super dog friendly, the staff were so friendly and the service was excellent. The food, breakfast, lunch and dinner was all very good and dogs are welcome in the restaurant, there is evern a doggie menu. We found 3 amazing walks to do only a a few minutes drive from the hotel. Thoroughly recommend the walks at Fritham and Bank, amazing forest and ancient woodland views. All in all we had a wonderful time and we highly recommend stating at the Bell Inn. Barbra, Nick and Luna.”

“The Bell Inn was very welcoming with friendly, helpful staff. Room was very clean and some lovely treats for the dogs. Evening meal was delicious and portion sizes were large. Breakfast was also superb. We were all made to feel very welcome; just a little overpriced for the size and comfort of the bedroom. We were expecting a little more.”

“We wanted a short break away from home to rest and spend some time with our dogs away from our normal area. The Bell Inn proved a tranquil haven with all the right features. From the first arrival the greeting was warm and helpful and our dogs were made to feel just as important as us. The staff were all very attentive and from reception to the bar and restaurant everyone was helpful and considerate. Thank you to everyone”

“From the moment we stepped through the doors to when we left we felt at home. The accommodation was clean and well kept the service was great. The food was to die for we even purchased some pies to bring home. Would certainly recommend The Bell Inn to all my friends. The dog was welcome everywhere and a lovely garden to play in.”

“Excellent welcome very dog friendly staff accommodation very good varied menu and drinks available free glass of prosecco while we waited for our complimentary bottle to be properly chilled”
