Love this place soooo peaceful and yet so handy for all amenities, do need a car though. No reception so not for everyone but we had everything we needed and more !

I stayed here with my dogs for three nights in August 23. The hotel was, at the time |I stayed, unmanned and entry is via codes that were emailed to me. Gaining entry was no problem, my room was exactly as it had looked on the website and the grounds at the back of the building are absolutely great. It is very close to a busy main road at the front but my room was at the back and quiet. The grounds at the rear are large with lots of off-lead space for the dogs. The cafe on site is wonderful and the restaurant was also good (although a bit pricey), staff in both were amazing. A fridge in the room would be a huge bonus as there is just a shared one (which I swear only appeared on my last day!) but otherwise the facilities were as expected and up to scratch. There's a lovely relaxed vibe about the house and the grounds. I treated myself to a few spa therapies and again, all the therapists were fantastic. My dogs were allowed to come in with me and were extremely relaxed and very uncharacteristically well-behaved - they particularly loved the reiki! The dogs were really welcome and it felt very relaxed having them there, even the housekeeping staff had time to stop and give them lots of attention! I read some reviews on Trust Pilot after I'd booked that worried me but I'm happy to say they were not at all reflective of the really lovely experience we had there! Definitely don't go without transport though - while there are lovely walks at the rear so the dogs had plenty of exercise and we could easily escape to nature, you are somewhat trapped by the horrible main road with no footpath. If, like me, you don't have a car to get about. So we were unable to go to a shop or to explore the wider New Forest.

Would you like to add any more feedback about your stay? It’s a good location for the coast and New Forest
On the positive side, the room was large and clean and the hot water plentiful. If I’d realised there would be no physical reception or lounge area I wouldn’t have chosen this accommodation as there was no where to sit/relax/read when the weather turned wet or we just wanted some down time. The separate cafe and restaurant were excellent and highly recommend these. There was no customer service and when an issue arose no one got back to us with a resolution. We will not be returning.
