“Very dog friendly hotel. Both dogs were made very welcome. Great location with plenty of areas to walk the dogs. Staff very friendly and helpful.”

Did you feel your stay was good value for money? yes

“When we arrived we had a warm welcome with the fire burning and a complimentary glass of wine. We had the dog with us, and the place is very dog friendly, with a large meadow at the back for a little stretch. The room was comfortable. One minus point was the breakfast, that could have been a little better, the sauce of the eggs benedict was watery and soaked the muffins underneath. But overall, we really enjoyed our stay.”

“Excellent hotel and location. Staff were very polite and helpful Visited Oakham and Stamford and went walking around Rutland reservoir even though it was very wet and windy. Great walking for dogs”

“Very nice hotel with dog walking areas near by and all the staff were very dog friendly with a dog bed in the room and water bowl. Will definitely return”

“Beautifully decorated buildings, excellent food. Just spoiled by silly things. Like the shower mat being disgusting. Lighting in the bedroom being awful, no grab rails in the bath etc. With just a little more effort it could be really excellent.”

“What a fabulous weekend my husband and I and our 2 labs had. On checking in we were offered a complimentary glass of wine, how nice! Room was lovely and off courtyard. Dogs were also welcome everywhere. Great walks close by and a gorgeous area .”
