“March 2024 What a fantastic place! We had a very warm welcome from Sharon on our arrival. The cottage was beautifully presented, as were the grounds. Obvious care and attention can be seen. We met Gary, and of course his shadow Molly, later in our stay and he too was very friendly and helpful. The welcome basket on our arrival was full of wonderful things, for both human and canine visitors. There was homemade scones, jam and Cornish cream waiting for us with milk in the fridge for that first, much needed cup of tea. There was homemade marmalade, and eggs from the girls for breakfast. We were thrilled to see how much had been provided for our comfort during our stay. Things we hadn't even thought we may have needed had been so thoughtfully provided. Probably the best we've experienced in all our Cornish holidays. The kitchen was brand new, was of a high standard and was extremely well equipped. Again very thoughtful provisions had been included for our stay. The infomation presentation pack was very comprehensive, both for living in the cottage and for things out and about. The information on the walks and eateries was thorough and well researched. The photos were a great idea and very helpful. Our two Mini Schnauzers had a wonderful stay and enjoyed the garden. The dog wash station was an excellent provision, with warm water available. Dog shampoo, towels for drying and also a dedicated dog poo bin were provided. We loved our cups of tea / coffee sitting in the sunhouse, a lovely feature, whilst looking out over the views and watching the chickens do their daily walkabout. There was however, an issue with the hot tub, which meant we were unable to use it for our weeks stay. Sharon and Gary did what they could, but the repair was dependent upon a third party. These things happen and will not put us off staying here again. We would definitely recommend staying here and would award 6 out of 5 stars if we could! John and Helena”
