“Super dog friendly venue that is a great break for both humans and dogs alike. The food and ambience is great as are the spa facilities. The dogs are truly welcome and the whole vibe is one of country chic. Couldn't receommend enough... the pre-planned walk routes are also really good. We will definitely be going back.”

Would you like to add any more feedback about your stay? Firstly we had a great time and it was very dog friendly with lovely helpful staff, however....it seemed that they were short of staff and seemed rather inexperienced. Our meal in the restaurant took a very long time to appear and it was not value for money and nothing exceptional. The breakfast is ok but nothing special and certainly not sumptuous particularly for this standard of hotel. You get your own coffee or tea from a machine. There are no "extras, i.e. nuts with your drink or a small biscuit with coffee. Little things that just elevate the experience. Overall we had a lovely time and would go back as so dog friendly. with wonderful staff.

Would you like to add any more feedback about your stay? Need a dog shower outside the back door just a tap with a hose attachment would do

“perfect venue - lovely walks nearby, wellies provided. Food and drink excellent and rooms lovely. Spa great. Staff delightful - would defo recommend”

“Lovely hotel and nice walks in the surrounding area. Could do with a dog shower or moveable shower head to wash muddy paws. Lots of dogs around who received a warm welcome. Breakfast didn't include speciality teas or coffees (like cappucino or latte) nor a cooked breakfast, which for the price was disappointing. Food and drinks expensive though 5 star service in the restaurant was generally lacking. Overall though, a good stay”

Would you like to add any more feedback about your stay? They need to reassess what their breakfast offer is for those who aren’t paying for the added (usual) cooked breakfast that would be on offer. The continental offering was worse than a travelodge

“Rooms were lovely, care for dogs all good, spa very nice. However understaffed. Both restaurants were fully booked, so a good job I didn’t book the DB&B deal! No-one answered the phones over 2 days to make a dinner reservation. Breakfast most disappointing. A very basic continental, with option of streaky bacon and scrambled eggs for hot meal. If you wanted a “proper” cooked breakfast you had to pay extra, also pay extra for anything other than filter coffee. I have never been to a 5star or even 3 star hotel where the breakfast is so minimal and then you’re charged extra to eat the good stuff. That’s very very poor.”

“If you want a relaxing break away from the stresses of life, this is the hotel for you. Very comfortable, peaceful, good food and Maisie the cockapoo agrees. Extremely dog friendly hotel and staff. Lovely spa too, I had a wonderful massage.”

“Lovely hotel, in beautiful grounds. The staff were excellent - polite, attentive but not over the top. Very good food, although expensive. We would certainly go back.”
