Would you like to add any more feedback about your stay? The bar area really lacked any atmosphere and was so different from the rest of the lovely hotel. We popped in on arrival and saw dirty table tops which remained until we bought a drink several hours later.
Lovely looking hotel with beautiful well kept gardens. Staff friendly and food delicious. We took our dog and the ground floor room was perfect and the grounds lovely to walk the dog. Could do with more dog waste bins. The bar area could be more cosy and welcoming and the bar tables were not cleaned for several hours.

Would you like to add any more feedback about your stay? Would not revisit sadly. Could be a beautiful place
Looks a beautiful place on driving towards it. Gardens are beautiful, not really dog friendly. Room was a disgrace damp & dirty . Staff didn't seem to have a clue what was going on they had no guidance. Icing on the cake was on checking out they tried to charge me again. They said you don't pay them until well after the visit??.

Beautiful house set in lovely grounds, very quiet, staff helpful and made us feel welcome, we had dog friendly room which was ok, bathroom a bit tired but functional, dog bed was provided as was a complimentary dog toy. Stay was from Thursday to Sunday and had freshly cooked breakfast on Friday and Saturday with just a buffet offering for the Sunday but was all fine, dog was allowed while eating in bar area only. Had evening meal on the Saturday night which was good but a little pricey. Hotel very convenient for visiting Bath and nearby Wiltshire attractions, nearest town is Corsham which is very nice with Peacocks strolling down high street. Would definitely stay a Guyers house again.

Buildings beautiful. Gardens spectacular ( although apparently the gardner is frightened of dogs so they need to be kept on a lead. Really?!). Room tired and unloved. Good breakfast. Poor dinner choice, like a basic pub menu. Lovely walks directly from hotel.

Would you like to add any more feedback about your stay? If u want the perfect dog friendly stay then go to castle hotel bishops gate in Shropshire. Stunning and first class . Donā€™t stay at Guyers house
On arrival I was givin invoice for my stay . Which we had to sort out and convince hotel it was all ready payed for .then we find out dogs are not aloud in restaurant to eat with us or allowd to run round the grounds . Coz Gardner is afraid of dogs . Room did not have doors that accesd your own private outside space which I was told did . Service was terrible one person who u had to keep going to find . Breakfast was again shambles brought out tea coffee but no cutlery so then had to wait again for them to bring that out , no condiments at table so again had to wait meanwhile your food is going cold then on 3rd morning was told no breakfast menu it was buffet . The whole inside layout of hotel was completely wrong . Bar area is in dark dingy shed opposite main hotel . We did not eat at hotel coz couldnā€™t deal with the stress of it . I use the words dog friendly hotel very loosely. Rooms wer very dirty ( see attached pictures) how this is 5star hotel is beyond me. Went to complain to hotel manager at 10am to b told heā€™s not in yet. Never saw manager in whole 3 days we wer ther . So no wander the hotel is so badley run . On a plus side the outside grounds are stunning and very well kept but thatā€™s ware the positives stop . Would never go back and would not recommend anyone going ther with a dog at all . Then finally on check out wasnā€™t aloud to leave coz was fronted with another invoice bill saying Havnt payed for the stay . So to sum up. . Cracking garden grounds lovely from outside service is a shambles not a clue how to run a hotel . Iā€™m still waiting for my vinager to go with my chips from Sunday night . Never came . Very poor !!

From arrival to departure we experienced excellent friendly service from all the staff, meals were good well prepared from good ingredients and efficiently served. The atmosphere was calm and cosy. The room we had was very clean and well appointed, we had excellent nights sleep. The Hotel location was very good with easy access, quiet and plenty of fresh air. Our Beagle was really well received, he thanks all who petted him. We have already agreed we will return.
