I enjoyed my stay at The Bowl, friendly staff, comfortable room with a small bathroom. It was a bit of a squeeze to get in the shower, but lovely Bramley products. Fish and chip supper was good but not a lot of choice for a non meat eater, I ate in the pub area so my dog could be with me. It was full of very friendly locals . Breakfast was good with a big choice. There is a field nearby for dog walking.

We think the staff must have been having a bad day because reception was not very cheerful and in the bar they appeared stressed. The room we had was comfortable with a ensuite with shower which could do with mould removal . We only had a snack in the evening which was a mezze at Ā£14 consisting of olives, hummus and three vegan "meatballs" with shop bought flat bread. OK but a lot for a little. Breakfast was a slow process with only one person on duty. She was doing her best to keep up but was obviously quite pressured. The cooked breakfast was adequate and the avocado with poached egg very good. I think we didn't understand the menu because toast, juice etc was available. Dog friendly but nothing provided.,eg dog bowl, dog bed, which we normally find in dog friendly establishments. Overall our stay was satisfactory.

The Bowl is a really lovely, dog friendly pub with great staff. We stopped on the way home from Cornwall as itā€™s in a really convenient location, just off the M5. Our room was a little small, but lovely with beautiful decor. The drinks and food are a little overpriced, but these are governed by the Brewery, not the pub themselves. Breakfast was included in the rate and fabulous! There was a mixup with our booking from pets pyjamas, but the staff and the assistant manager at The Bowl couldnā€™t do enough to resolve it for us. We will definitely be staying here again but will book a direct with the Pub after the mixup with our booking!

We booked for one night as an emergency stop over with less than 24hrs notice. And HOW LUCKY WW WERE! The pub is SOOO nice and the room was perfect. Ground floor and very clean and comfortable. Just outside the room was a private door with access to outside which was great for the Dog! Although a fun Saturday night in the pub we couldnā€™t hear the noise which surprised me! The only noise we heard were some creaky floorboards from the room upstairs. The location is fantastic and although close to the main road you wouldnā€™t know it as the village location is totally Quaint, peaceful and beautiful What a find! Thankyou to Pets Pjs and The Bowl Inn!

We had a lovely time here... The village was quaint and attractive, the pub car park was sizeable and parking free. Impressive chuch next to The Bowl - interesting history to read up on. The staff were excellent, very accommodating, pleasant and helpful. Check-in was super easy, quick, efficient and friction free. A table was also prebooked for us throughout of stay for breakfast and evening meal options which was a very much appreciated touch. The food was really good, great portion sizes, tasted great and special offers / discounts were available too (blue light). Breakfasts were equally enjoyable and generous portions, all included in our room price. Good range of beers and drinks, very much appreciated that the pub was brewery owned! We took our dogs for breakfast in the bar area but were able to leave them in our room (we opted for short periods, caged and regularly checking them) and the pub was more than happy with this. The Bowl is the most dog-friendly hotel/B&B type location that we've stayed at. Our room was excellently presented, with good facilities and very clean. The room was lovely and warm too with the ability to adjust the temperature. The water pressure in our particular room wasn't great and the shower took a short while to heat up, but this didn't detract from our overall experience. We did experience a little bit of disruption from the room above in terms of creaky floorboards and some noise at night, but given the age of the building, its construction, etc. we were understanding of this and again, it didn't detract from our experience overall. We'd definitely stay here again, fantastic venue, great food and drinks, good ambience, good level of cleaninless, presentation and quaint local accommodating pub feel. The staff were the icing on the cake and helped our experience to be special. Especially Ashely.

Lovely little pub in pretty village. Friendly staff and dog friendly. Food was good but there was a very limited vegetarian choice.

The whole inn has recently been refurbished so everything was clean, tidy and worked. The room and bed was very comfy with everything we needed (good quality tea/coffee, body wash etc) and although the room was not that large there was plenty of space for our dog, Maisie's bed. She was quiet throughout the night so was also comfy! There was a terrace and field behind the inn that Maisie could have a run in. We booked supper (vegan for us) and there was a choice. All the food (including breakfast), was well presented with good customer service. The only thing we'd change is due to the age of the building we could hear squeaky floorboards when the guests above us moved about.
