“The Castle Inn is a beautiful thatched hotel. Staff and Management are very welcolming and attentive. Food is fabulous. Daisy our dog was made very very welcome. I will go back in a heartbeat.”

“Great weekend in this old, cozy and very dog friendly pub. Breakfasts are awesome. Dinner very nice. Not cheap, but good value. Staff are the best. Hobs, the lady in charge had a great team. Nothing too much trouble. Observation, not criticism, as a very old property...stairs are steep, our room was small, but well equipped......well worth a visit.”

“We and our dog enjoyed our stay despite the weather. Parking was easy and we were pleased to find a table had been reserved for us on arrival so we didn’t need to worry about getting a meal later. The staff were really friendly and made a fuss of our dog which made it a relaxing experience for us. We had a nice comfortable room and the food was great. Lovely place to stay.”

“A stunning place beautifully run by the most amazing staff...from the minute we arrived til we left the service & quality of everything was top-class. Incredible food, brilliant drinks, the most lovely friendly staff & locals made this short stay so memorable. Will go back at a heartbeat”

“Stayed for 1 night and a lovely little pub , the room was a bit cramped with us and our two dogs but still a beautiful pub and the rooms are decorated to a high standard. We were a bit disappointed in the service we received during dinner as the waiting staff really didn’t want to be there and it showed . We had to ask 3 times to order our food and we were just left and when the food did arrive I honest felt like we were more of a nuisance . The manager / owner is lovely and she really made us feel welcome just a shame about the young waiting staff as they’d probably rather be at home playing on their PS5 instead of working .”

“The Castle Inn is a lovely place to stay that was very accommodating of us and our dog. Our room was excellent as was the rest of the Inn. Breakfast had lots of choices and all the food was prepared to a high standard and was delicious; we ate there every evening. All the staff were very friendly and welcoming. I would highly recommended The Castle Inn to both dog and none dog owners.”
