“We had a lovely stay at the Pointer.Staff were friendly,the room was lovely & quiet away from the main building.We ate each night and the food was really nice and breakfast was plenty of choice.Set in a very quiet village Boo loved a morning run on the village green before breakfast.He was always made to feel welcome.”

“Very pleasing stay. A lovely room,friendly,efficient staff.We had a very good evening meal and breakfast the following morning was very tasty. All in all,no complaints.”

“We were celebrating our 30th wedding anniversary and decided to splash out a bit. We booked a one-night stay bed/breakfast and evening meal at a pricey £279 with an allowance of £30 per head for dinner. We had an executive double room and it was spacious and comfortable with a huge bathroom, roll-top bath and separate shower, it is an old building and has been sympathetically modernised. There are a few failings though, a lack of a wardrobe or drawers, there is just a coat rail with four coat hangers in the entrance area, and just a suitcase stand in the bedroom. The console table had a small mirror but no chair, and the mirror in the bathroom was on the wall behind the sink and toilet in a recess and was difficult to use to apply makeup, and no full-length mirror. The tea and coffee tray had no milk on it this was stored in a fridge on the landing area and was supposedly for all guests, but when another guest decided to take the whole carton we were left wanting and there were no staff on duty before breakfast started to request any. We agree that the food was excellent, and the staff were great but be prepared to pay extra for your dinner above the allowance amount.”

“Great place in a beautiful village. The staff made us, and our dog, so very welcome from the moment we walked through the door. Room was lovely, and super clean, great decor and huge bathroom,. Food was excelllent, best steak I've have in ages. We ate twice for dinner and twice from breakfast- all excellent. Highly recommend.”
