“We thoroughly enjoyed our 1 night stay. The buiding and decor is really lovely, the room large, bed comfy, shower powerful and hot! The staff were cheerful, attentive and welcoming. We ate dinner in the bar area with our dog and the sunday roast was excellent...as were the cocktails. I particularly enjoyed the breakfast menu which was varied and had some interesting and different options as well as the standard full english. In all, we would absolutely return to the hotel and as we were only 25 mins from stunning beaches, we are planning our return very soon.”

“Great hotel, friendly staff, good food and nice room. Stayed 3 nights with our dog and couldn't find fault with anything.”

“Really nice hotel, loved the bar area and the restaurant in the main hotel. Good outside seating area as well. Staff were generally good. Room was a disappointment considering what we paid. Probably wouldn’t stay again but enjoyed it all the same.”

“Friendly welcome , dogs were well catered for , there are quite a few stairs which might be a problem with an older dog , but there was a lift as well . Good location to explore the town and only minutes away from good dog walk so they could stretch paws after a long journey.”

“We booked the bed, breakfast and dinner offer at the King’s Arms. We were made to feel very welcome with our dog and the stay was very comfortable. The food was incredible, especially the breakfast and would highly recommend staying here.”

“We had a two night break, in this lovely hotel. Great food, good friendly staff, comfy bed. Lovely walks along the river and the Borough Gardens Lester ( dog) had a lovely stay too.”
