Would you like to add any more feedback about your stay? It’s a big busy hotel, clean and nice interior. Staff were friendly.

“The hotel itself is ok, we didn’t see the mansion house as we stayed in another part. Pros: our room had doors leading directly to the parking area so taking our dog outside was easy. Cons: they charged us for our dog even though we told them it was included in the fee we’d already paid. I had to ask someone else to review it at checkout and they issued a refund after realising they had made a mistake. Breakfast was served upstairs and you understandably can’t take your dog up there meaning you have to take turns to go get breakfast and bring it down, I had to find someone to give me cups, cutlery etc as we didn’t have a table. The girl who helped me was lovely and this is no reflection on the staff. If you are a lone traveller with a dog I don’t know how you will manage breakfast. Between that and having to get the refund, for us we may have been better off staying somewhere else, it just felt like hard work. We only stayed for one night and it wasn’t the best experience at check in, breakfast, and check out. Room was ok.”

“You can’t go to the restaurant with your dog and the bar menu is poor compared to the restaurant menu and if u decide to just order room service they will just refuse because they are busy, also what is the point to have breakfast included when you can’t even take your dog. The hotel itself is so loud all night my dog just kept barking because doors just slammed all night long.”

“Check in did not go smoothly and the bathroom was in a poor state. Spoke to Jamie Anton first thing the next morning and he moved us to a better room straight away. Also spoke to Mohamed and Joanna who took our feedback on board and made us feel more positive about our stay. All those mentioned and also Nicole, Shannon, Liz and Sharon are worth a mention because they were so cheerful, friendly and helpful.”

“This is a large corporate hotel and golf club , despite this the hotel was very dog friendly and every member of staff interacted with our dog. Our room was set up with a dog bed and bowls when we arrived. Room was nice and recently renovated and very clean. Our room had doors that went straight outside which was perfect , slightly lacking in light at night but Andy from the hotel was already working on that. Only thing that was slightly disappointing was that breakfast items were cold, there didn’t seem to be many people staying and they seemed to cook too much at once. We ate in the bar area as you couldn’t take your dog into the restaurant, we knew this when we booked and that was absolutely fine. We would definitely consider this hotel if we were in this area again and speaking to staff members they also suggested some other dog friendly De Vere hotels to us.”

“Nice grounds for dog walks though there was a lot of rubbish that hadn't been cleared up from weddings earlier in the day which we had to carefully avoid (our dog still managed to snaffle some wedding cake crumbs in the corridors). Comfortable bed for humans, nice they give you bowls for food and water and a dog bed (though it was small, so we were glad we had our own to bring in from the car). Clean room with basic soap, shampoo, conditioner. Were glad of firedoors / sound from wedding reception going strong into the night never disturbed us once we were in our room. Didn't use other facilities or try the food so can't comment. Reception staff was friendly but wearing mask around their chin - didn't feel particularly covid-safe (LOTS of wedding guests and staff wandering about unmasked).”

“Large hotel split into two main buildings. Not a bad stay but very much a golf stay hotel. Large grounds for dog walks and room large enough for two medium sized dogs. What let it down was the poorly run restaurant ( The View) with its hap hazard service and very average food. Tiffani at Pets Pyjamas was excellent as usual in finding this hotel at very short notice for us.”
