Had a wonderful two night stay at the De Vere Cotswold Water Park Hotel. A beautiful setting and I don’t think I’ve ever come across friendlier and more helpful staff.

It was an absolute pleasure to stay at the friendly De Vere Cotswold Water Park Hotel where they made our pet 'Duke' feel comfortable given that Duke is no ordinary dog and is a rescue dog from Battersea! We had access to an exit close to the 'Dog' room which was a large spacious and well lit room. We had no trouble accessing our car or taking him for his adventures! A big plus point was that we could take our dog into every cafe and restaurant on the premises and he was well looked after with a dog bowl under each table for water etc. There are plenty of activities at this beautiful and serene location and I would recommend it highly for its views of the lake, the walks, the friendly staff and its location. Would you like to add any more feedback about your stay? We would expect to receive same stsndard of rooms as non dog owners
Lovely exterior of hotel, but round the back.of the lakes the greenery has been left to grow wild. As we had booked in with a dog, I had specifically asked if the accommodation would be sub stabdard to orher guests...the bathroom was worse standard than a travelodge sadly. The carpets were very dog stained, there were no designated areas for dog walking, which was difficult for other non-dog owners to witness. The lake at the hotel could not actually be walked around due to.overgrown shrubbery, and a locked gate. The hotel staff though were very nice, and chatty to dogs and dog owners alike. Breakfast was a bit haphazard as we had to take it in turns to visit restaurant, and had to individually join the queue for "a table" even though we were not sllowed in restsurant with the dog...needs a bit of a rethink.

We stayed here for 3 nights with our 2 collies and it was really very dog friendly. Room was large with nice doors onto decking area and quick access to grass area for early morning dog wees . Ate in the Boathouse which was delicious and also in the Lounge Bar and the burgers were fab . Staff really friendly and clearly love having the dogs around . Will visit again

Would you like to add any more feedback about your stay? Our room was more modern our daughters was not and would have been disappointed if both rooms were the same.

We booked through Pets Pyjamas who were able to find us accommodation last minute. The hotel accepts dogs in the outdoor grounds, the bar and the pub. For breakfast you have to eat it in the bar once you’ve collected what you want. The food in the bar/breakfast & Pub were fine. Nothing very exciting. The rooms on arrival were on the ground floor. We had 2 interconnecting rooms with our 3 kids. Their room was big enough for all 3 beds. Ours was much smaller. Their bathroom had a basic bathroom. The shower controller was broken with a part missing so only the handheld shower worked. The main room was adequate but pretty basic. Our room which was a small double only had 1 ceiling bulb which was in the hall. 1 bedside lamp as main room lighting. We called to ask for another beside lamp which arrived but there was no power point on the wall for it. Both bathrooms had shower curtains which is always a pain when showering. The whole ground floor shared a balcony so people walk past your door/ seating area while you’re sitting outside. The patio decking is on the water and the railing are open so not great with the dog as you can’t let them roam free. The dog did have a bowl. Bed. Mat waiting for them in our room. You must pre book all meals including breakfast, luckily I read this in a TripAdvisor review and managed to get a 10am slot which was the last one for the whole 5 days. You can’t use the pool without having booked and had a treatment that day. When I tried to book 6weeks before there were no treatments available which meant no swimming for anyone. Treatments start at £48….. would have been an expensive swim. All in its ok if you’re out all day and don’t want to relax in your room or use the facilities then it’s a fine base for your trip.

Would you like to add any more feedback about your stay? Our room (166) was spacious and comfortable but there were two bad stains on the carpet, which rather let it down.
We were more than happy with the welcome we and our dog received. Most hotel staff were extremely friendly, helpful and pleasant.

We had the best few days at the De Vere Cotswold water park! The lake by the hotel was perfect for an early morning walk with our black lab Ebony she loved splashing through the brook and swimming in the lake. The room had all we needed plus a dog bed, bowl and a treat from Ebony on her arrival. There were lots of activities near by for families and lots of dog walks for dog owners. The gym was fully equipped with modern equipments & weights. Only thing I would say is if you want a treatment in the Spa book before you go as it was fully booked so we couldn’t get it. But can’t recommend this hotel enough will definitely be going back
