Would you like to add any more feedback about your stay? Don’t think you should have it on your website and not sure we would use you again
Whilst dogs are allowed in certain rooms they are not allowed in the building so if you want to eat with your dog you can only do this outside on front terrace. No treats, beds or dog towels in room and no dog waste bins. Dinner on terrace on first night was a fiasco. Incredibly poor service and barely warm food. Staff did not know how to make cocktails or cappuccino. Pudding when it eventually came after being chased came without cutlery . We ate elsewhere the other 2 nights and we’re glad we had not paid for breakfast Room was directly on roadside so if you had any windows open it was deafening Room tired and old fashioned but bed was comfortable

Would you like to add any more feedback about your stay? Wouldn’t class as a dog friendly hotel but an hotel that has rooms dogs can stay in.
The hotel was very average and could do with a complete refurbishment. Dogs weren’t allowed in the hotel, only the rooms which were in converted outbuildings. We wouldn’t have stayed had we known this. The food was also very average. There was no doggy provisions such as bowls, treats etc. Best part of the hotel was the grounds, they were lovely.

Our bedroom was in an annexe to the main house together with some other dogs and their owners - but it was very quiet. Scrupulously clean, very comfortable bed in a warm room. The food was excellent - especially the very generous breakfasts. The staff were very friendly, helpful and professional. The television picture was brilliant but the sound was awful. The plumbing was rather antiquated, the headboard was ugly and the curtains were down to the floor which meant they enclosed the radiator - not very efficient. The grounds were extensive and very well kept.

The location is perfect for travelling to days out such as Heights of Abraham, Crich Tramway village and to explore the Peak District. The grounds are good to explore with our dog. The room was OK, the hotel staff were good, the hotel itself is in need of a bit TLC and the spa needs to be booked well in advance to get into it. Overall it was a good location and we were happy with our stay.

What a fabulous hotel. The staff were very friendly and clearly all loved dogs as all made a fuss of my little dog. The rooms were lovely and food was excellent. As well as the huge grounds for walkies the best thing about the trip was using Georgina and the Pampered Pooch Experience. Was very reassuring knowing that my pooch was having her own spa treatments and being looked after while i had mine. Bea and I will definitely be back
